On the morning of July 2nd, 2020, People around Musanze Industrial Park woke up to a brighter surroundings after Century Engineering Contractors LTD (CEC) overcome numerous challenges of commissioning a 30kV line linking up Camp Belge substation and Musanze Industrial Park ,currently the Line is supplying electricity to Prime Cement Factory as other new factories and productive Users under development . The construction works involved MV and LV electrical lines, service connections and other related civil works lasted for three months.
Speaking during the commissioning, one of the beneficiaries of the Line,Prime Cement’s Factory Spokesperson based in Musanze Industrial Park could not hide his delight saying that lack of stable electricity had remained a great challenge for local factories until this Project came onboard. “Before the intervention of CEC, we have been experiencing power outage so much that it could go off at least three times in one hour but looking at how stable it has for the past few hours, we are hopeful that this issue will become history in the near future”.
Talking about this important achievement, the CEO of EPCA Holding, commended the team for tireless efforts to finish the assignment in due time irrespective of challenges they might have faced along the way.

CEC still holds the record of being the only Rwandan company to have successfully built a 220kV Transmission Line – Shango – Birembo Line,a portion of the High Voltage Transmission Line interconnecting Rwanda and DRC.
